James Porter

B.Eng (Hons) Building Services Engineering
James graduated from Loughborough University in 1998 with a B.Eng. Hons Degree 2:1 in Building Services Engineering, and a Diploma in Industrial Studies.
On completion of his degree, James joined Foremans Ltd, London, as a Mechanical Design Engineer working on a project including the replacement of the central plant at the Palace of Westminster and a wide variety of turnkey office refurbishments as well as complex IT centres.
James joined John Packer Associates in 2003 and has since worked on a diverse portfolio of work from small school extensions to Academies to Multiplex Cinemas. James became a Director in 2006.
James has a modern approach to building services and is acutely aware of evolving concepts in our industry. He benefits from experience in a range of building services solutions for a diverse range of property types and sectors with specialisms in fast track and prestigious offices, Grade 1 listed buildings, cinemas and IT facilities. James offers technical in-depth expertise in a number of areas including computational fluid dynamics, and in 2003 sat on the steering committee for the BSRIA Guide ‘Cooling Solutions for IT’ being involved in the development of the publication.
