New academic building as part of a developing university campus to include Student Union facility, sports science laboratory facilities, clinical skills training areas and general purpose teaching and support areas. Flexibility of design was critical to allow adaptations to purpose of building in the future.
2 stage Design & Build contract with the design team employed up to Stage D. Full M&E design and consultancy service for the client up to Stage D and then a checking role on behalf of the client. JPA were also employed as part of the Contractor design team up to Stage E. The project aim is to achieve BREEAM excellent.
JPA have participated in detailed end user group briefi ng meetings with the various user groups to ensure that the services design will meet initial user aspirations within the confi nes of the project budget and with inherent flexibility and capacity to continue to meet changing user requirements.
